Comment: Dominik and Matthias of band Ketch-up in German Adidas soccer shirts and black shorts. Probably here the song “Eins Zu Null (Hangin’ Tough)”. Also in blue shiny shorts either in this and/or in RTL Kinderhitparade (rating 9). I don’t like the modern black shorts. Maybe more shorts/others?

I found this very brief clip by coincidence on one of my VHS tapes as it was not labeled with this. Around 1 minute only, which is at the end of the show. Not sure if I have more clips on other tapes. Blue shorts probably from a different episode. I only have this 2 scenes. One from a distance showing both boys on the far left, at least showing a bit from the shorts (length of shorts, height of boys). Pic 2 showing a close-up of one of them (maybe Matthias ?) Sorry, no better pics of both (in this show).

Aka “MiniStars” and “Li-La-Launebär präsentiert Die MiniStars”. There’s also a Dutch show/band called De MiniStars and in other countries (with other kids). But I don’t know of shorts in there.

No DVD nor clips known. At least there are CDs. For more infos see RTL Kinderhitparade. Does anybody has better pics or clips especially of the blue shorts?

Update: Der Tag, an dem Anton den Widerlan fand

I finally found my tape. In total around 2-3 minutes (interrupted). Only one PE scene, around 1 minute. First, one boy in shiny, light red shorts and later the sporty, blonde boy (last pic in the middle) in light green shorts, probably the same brand, unknown if shiny. Can anybody identify the brand? Looks like an “LO” or <O. On the sides are white patterns like a row of “><” .

One more pic of a chubby boy sitting in medium blue shorts in the main entry (only shown from a distance). There’s also a girl in pink shorts (probably not shiny) and the chubby boy in large, white shorts (non shiny, pic 4 on the left). Anton is on the right. He usually wore belted, light blue, purple checkered cotton shorts/knickers.

The sporty boy is later shown at home sitting on an exercise bike but in long, light grey cotton pants. I haven’t made a vid, just some few pics at higher res.

Update 2: Manni, der Libero

The home team including Thomas Ohrner (on left) mainly wore blue Adidas shorts with yellow stripes (and inner briefs), see other entry, but also the regular blue ones with white stripes which look much better to me. I think rather few scenes in ep 13 (pictured) and I think in ep 4 in ironed shorts (but I don’t like that).

Main entry, rating 6 (also 2 more posts including Puma shorts)

Comment: When I remember it correctly, there’s at least one PE scene with boys and maybe girls probably in shiny shorts, also sitting on benches (probably at least white and blue ones, maybe red) and one athletic boy with a treadmill at home (not sue if shorts and/or long pants). The main character is 10 yo, maybe some kids are 11 or even older.

I had to think about this series, maybe because of the announcement of The Little Ghost (2013) (Das Kleine Gespenst, bedroom blog, rating 6).

I must have one or two episodes (partly) on VHS and maybe some few digitized pics or short clips. I didn’t came across them, the recent searches and I currently don’t have the time to check again all my backups and tapes.

Pics will hopefully be added later. Nice series, unfortunately not available on DVD.

Rating 6 for now. Updte: Found. Removing tag white, adding red and green. Some few more pics at

Comment: I think Eric Foster shirtless but dry in light yellow swim shorts. All or most others of the swim team in speedos. One teen boy wet in tight, white swim shorts or briefs.

I only have checked this briefly and assume very few good scenes. But the movie is obviously very interesting. Handsome boy.

So rating 6-7 for now. Needs to be rechecked completely at slow speed. I hope for a soon broadcasting.

Comment: Some boys (6th graders) in shorts and swim shorts. Not sure about the country pictured, probably Greece in or around 1989. Boys in white, red and black shorts. Black shorts with (2 ?) yellow stripes. Probably some more in shorts and I think also orange shorts. Swim shorts in Dutch colors blue, white and red. Most or all others here in speedos). Not sure about girls.

I don’t remember the original game show and probably only saw the final 1989 and/or 1988 episode in where the winning class won a journey. Not sure if there were also kids in the studio in shorts.

Needs to be rechecked for this and the original show and other colors.

Rating 6-7 for now.

Update: I found some more episodes on VHS labeled with Tunisia, Yugoslavia, Turkey and Soviet Union (Moscow). Probably pic 1 is in Turkey. Pic 2 could be in Tunisia but I still think in Greece. I also remember a scene where they are on an ancient archaelogical site either Greece or Turkey (but probably Greece). At least half of them in shiny shorts.

Update: Tele-Fußball

I found another boy, this time 12 yo Kevin from California. This time, the kids are in white shiny Adidas shorts.

White shorts are very nice, but the walking scene of the boy from London in green shorts are much better (rating 10).

Rating 6-7 for this one. I haven’t found the older girl as leading kid. Probably I haven’t digitized them, yet.

Update: Pfiff

I found some pics of some more episodes. I forgot to save at least one. And I haven’t found my clips. So, at least one more update soon.

Pic 1 showing a boy in short hair and red shorts (unknown fabric) at parallel bars. I remember Eberhard Gienger in the studio.

Pic 2 showing Volleyball playing boys. Dark blue, shiny Adidas shorts with light blue stripes and inner briefs. Also one boy in light blue shorts, I think not Adidas, coming soon.

Pic 3 showing a boy underwater in swimshorts at an indoor waterpark. I didn’t remember that episode. Most boys in this and other episodes about swimming wore speedos.

For these scenes rating 6-7 only. All episodes around 1989/1990.

Main entry, rating 10 (light blue Adidas Handball)

Comment: Around 100 or more boys and teen boys in medium blue, modern Adidas shorts Schalke 04 logo on the right legs. So probably Soccer boys.

I haven’t found any pics or clips of the boys on the web and it took me several days to search my hard discs and backups. Luckily, I found it on my original tape. I only have some few minutes and the kids are not always shown or from a distance. So rather few good scenes, so rating 6-7 only. It begins of them running downstairs and then round the arena.

I don’t know if it was a live show, but I do think so, probably around 11 or 12 o’clock. Not sure about the correct TV show title. Maybe it was shown within another usual show on WDR like Aktuelle Stunde. But more likely in a special show. Probably on Saturday, April 19 (or Sunday 20).

Obviously the show consisted of many other parts including music and acrobatics, so I can’t say much about the amount. It’s also possible, that I didn’t had enough free tape space and it was a longer show. Has anybody more infos?
