Comment: Some boys playing Soccer and Rugby in light red, orange, white, light yellow and black shorts, also sitting (orange, red). Not sure if really shiny. The image quality is quite poor.

Very interesting. I like orange shorts. No entry on IMDb.

Original title: Мяч круглыйМяч овальный (means: The Ball is Round, The Ball is Oval). Actor’s name Борис Щербаков.

Rating 5-6.

Update: De bal is rond

I found some more scenes of the described yellow and light grey shorts. And yesterday also orange shorts, I didn’t remember and found earlier.

Shirt labeled with “lotto”, not sure about the shorts but probably. Brand or sponsor?

Rating ~7 for this new pics. Also teen girls in shiny shorts, but I have to search for more pics.

Main entry rating 10

Unknown 22: 1980s USA movie ?

Unknown movie or series
Year: 1980s ??
Year in film: 1980s ??
Country: USA ?
Who in shorts: boys ~8-15 ?
Who in shorts 2: men
Available on DVD: yes ?
I own: no
Clothing occurence: low ?
Rating:  3/10 ?
Rating: ***
Comment: At least some boys and men in longer, orange shorts. Maybe not or not that shiny. But maybe some more actors in other shorts as well?

Searching for a completely unrelated movie called “The Life Before This (1999)” starring Alison Pill (for my pigtails blog), I found this “trailer” on a Turkish (?) website which was in fact a compilation of different movies.

Looks like a summer camp movie, mabye I even already have an entry?

Rating at least 3-4 for now. Does anybody know this movie?

Update: The Adventures of Skippy

I searched for hours but couldn’t identify any of the logos. Is there any good website of logos? The series was filmed in Queensland. Maybe these are local teams, kids teams, school logos, sponsor logos or even fictional teams. This episode is about one team called “Roos”. I only found Socceroos, but I think they have a different logo.

Pic 1 is my favourite. On the shirts, a team logo of a complete black horse (stallion, stud, colt) looking to the left. I couldn’t find anything like this (Australian).

On the shorts a logo like a “c”. Also not sure about that. The closest Australian brand, I found is “Classic Sportswear” with a kangaroo inside the c. Or is it Gatorade as sponsor. Or a “Q” for Queensland. I also found a logo with a ball inside a c. A similar logo is “Champion” (USA). One shirt of a spectator has “Colometa”, maybe a sponsor? Update: Compared to other pics, I beliefe that the c is in fact a Q with a ball inside. But still can’t identify the brand.

2 new pics. Pic 2 showing a logo with a ball on top of a wave. Wave with 3 stripes. Pic 3  a different logo. Maybe a fish or dolphin? Sorry, no better pics. Any help is appreciated. Main entry, rating 9

C’est pas ma faute! (1999)

Family comedy film
Year: 1999
Year in film: 1990s
Country: France
Who in shorts: boys ~ 11 ?
Who in shorts 2:
Available on DVD: yes
I own: no
Clothing occurence: low+ ?
Rating:  4/10
Rating: ****
Comment: Some boys in longer, modern shorts including medium and dark blue, orange and black and also at least 2 boys shirtless in swim shorts (medium blue and black). Scenes at 15 and 17 minutes.

Rating 4-5 only.

Few and brief scenes and I prefer shorter shorts. Swim shorts are even worse. So rating 4 instead of 5. There are better movies.

Also on my bib overalls blog (girl, rating 6) and my bedroom blog, rating 6 as well.

Vykrutasy (2011)

Comedy film starring Milla Jovovitch
Year in film:
Who in shorts:
boys ~10-13 ?
Who in shorts 2:

Available on DVD:
I own:
Clothing occurence:
Some Soccer boys mainly in longer, orange shorts (I think the home team) and the other in medium blue shorts. I think also black shorts. Many Soccer scenes.

Also wet and muddy scenes when it rains. One boy pulling down the shorts from another while playing.

Also on my bib overalls, blog, recently updated, boys rating 6.

For shorts rating 5-6 as well.

The Barbaric Beast of Boggy Creek, Part II

Horror film part 3
Year in film:
Who in shorts:
boys ~8-12 ?, men
Who in shorts 2:
grown-ups ?
Available on DVD:
I own:
Clothing occurence:
Some boys shirtless and wet in swim shorts including orange, red, yellow, black and blue ones. Boy in orange also on a water slide. Others in the water. I think rather few scenes and often in the background. Are the black shorts Adidas?

Also grown-ups in swimwear. Some in jeans shorts. One man in colorful swim shorts I think party beige (pic 1 next to the parasol).

During rechecking the other Boggy Creek movies (rating up to 7 on my bib overalls blog), I also found this one. Alternate title: Boggy Creek II: And the Legend Continues. Very low rating on IMDb (2.3, bottom #81).

I have to recheck it at slow speed on a big screen. The shorts are probably very good, but for the brief scenes I currently give rating 5-6 only.

Update: Die Kinder vom Alstertal

I found a third, great swimming scene in s1e5.

Pictured are young Niklas in red/light blue/black swim shorts, Tobias in light blue ones and Sebastian in orange/black/grey swim shorts or maybe board shorts. Also nice rear view (wet) when going out of the lake. Tobias’ shorts obviously have inner nettings and he don’t wear anything else. Also girls in swimwear but I think not in shorts.

I don’t like at all Tobias. My favourite actor here is Sebastian.

Also an update on my bib overalls blog (rating 5)

Main entry (previously no pics at all but scenes are even better), rating 5 at

Update 4: Meatballs

As announced, another, final update of Meatballs. I have checked most of the important scenes more carefully and almost all (Adidas) shorts turned out to be not shiny but of cotton fabric, including the green ones.

I just found an interesting scene at 12 minutes (pic 1) with the young boys. There’s one boy in medium blue, shiny shorts with 4 stripes, also lying on the bed. Another boy in (non-shiny) dark blue Adidas shorts.

Pic 2 showing a boy in 70s style red shorts (after 36 minutes) at the parent’s day being embraced.

Pic 3 at 1h21 showing a girl in white (shiny) Adidas and another girl in dark blue shiny 70s shorts. The man, I already had.

Pic 4 showing older teen boys/young men, one in white 70s shorts, one in medium blue sitting, one in orange shorts with red sweat pants underneath and an older teen girl in tight, white shorts.

Unpictured: Another young man in sweat pants underneath at the wrestling scene at 1h11. And another boy in red shorts at 1h21 (rear view, from a distance) next many others. I think, there’s one young boy sitting in black shorts (but from a distance) and maybe also dark yellow shorts (not shiny). So almost all colors, except pink and purple. Not sure about grey ones.

I think, I have to recheck the movie again later at slow speed, especially the audience. Most and best scenes near the end at the different competitions. Main overview entry, rating 8 at

Diff’rent Strokes

Comedy series /sitcom, 189 ep in 8 seasons
Year in film:
Who in shorts:
boys ~17 ?
Who in shorts 2:
Available on DVD:
I own:
Clothing occurence:
very low ?
3/10 ?
At least these older teen boys/young men in medium blue, dark blue and orange shorts. Maybe not all are shiny like the grey ones. Pics from s4e4 “The Team”. Also a man in blue shorts in s4e8. The orange shorts of the blond teen are quite interesting. Is this a boy?

I don’t know all episodes but doubt for much more and better scenes.

Also on my bib overalls blog (boy, girl, rating 5).

Rating 2-3 for these brief scenes of older teen boys.
