Update 2: Achterbahn (1992)

achterbahn9achterbahn-derandere

For now, the final update of Achterbahn.

Pic 1 showing a Soccer boy in white shiny shorts, probably from ep. 9. Probably more boys of this and the other teams. Pic 2 from ep 33 “Der Andere” (completely on YouTube).  Nice PE and locker room scenes. Also shirtless, but I think rather few shiny shorts. Reminds me of “Sich kennenlernen, sich vertragen”.

Rating ~6-7

I have to search for more episodes. Many swim scenes, but I think mainly or only in speedos and non-shiny shorts.

Main entry rating 7 at

Update: The Adventures of Skippy

adventuresofskippythebushkangarooadventuresofskippy-yel

I searched for hours but couldn’t identify any of the logos. Is there any good website of logos? The series was filmed in Queensland. Maybe these are local teams, kids teams, school logos, sponsor logos or even fictional teams. This episode is about one team called “Roos”. I only found Socceroos, but I think they have a different logo.

Pic 1 is my favourite. On the shirts, a team logo of a complete black horse (stallion, stud, colt) looking to the left. I couldn’t find anything like this (Australian).

On the shorts a logo like a “c”. Also not sure about that. The closest Australian brand, I found is “Classic Sportswear” with a kangaroo inside the c. Or is it Gatorade as sponsor. Or a “Q” for Queensland. I also found a logo with a ball inside a c. A similar logo is “Champion” (USA). One shirt of a spectator has “Colometa”, maybe a sponsor? Update: Compared to other pics, I beliefe that the c is in fact a Q with a ball inside. But still can’t identify the brand.

2 new pics. Pic 2 showing a logo with a ball on top of a wave. Wave with 3 stripes. Pic 3  a different logo. Maybe a fish or dolphin? Sorry, no better pics. Any help is appreciated. Main entry, rating 9

Update: Cebollitas

cebollitas-ep169cebollitas-ep279

As announced one more update of Cebollitas and the brands. Currently, I don’t have the time to check more episodes. I don’t assume more brands anyway.

Pic 1 from ep 169 showing Fantasmita in blue shiny shorts with 3 horizontal stripes on the legs. 3 stripes are copyrighted and usually must be Adidas, but I doubt that and haven’t found Adidas text or leaf logos. In other episodes like 222, the boys wear blue shorts with 2 stripes. Gamuza wears white Umbro shorts.

Pic 2 from ep 279 showing boys and girls in both white and dark blue shorts playing Basketball (that’s why there are also girls).

Pic 3 showing a young man in purple shorts with stars in ep 200.

Pic 4 showing the boys in black or similar Olan shorts with many larger diamonds in ep 386.

List 6: Cebollitas brands

Some time ago, I checked almost all 458 episodes of this Argentinian series for my bib overalls blog. I don’t have the time to recheck all episodes. The boys (and sometimes girls) wore at least ~4 or 5 different Soccer shorts + swim shorts. Although a Soccer series, I think there’s less than half of the time Soccer shown.

I think they mainly wore shorts of the brand Umbro (mainly medium blue and white ones (pics 2+4, main entry pic 1). The logo is a diamond and text Umbro underneath and a horizontal diamond band at the legs and a thin stripe above.

Pic 1 showing them sitting in plain white shorts of brand Olan in ep 252, another pic in the main entry. The logo is shown in pic 3. Also in plain black shorts and shirts at the beginning of ep 222. And black shorts with many little white and red diamonds in ep 386.

Later in ep 222 the other team wore different black shorts with 2 horizontal stripes and black shirts (pic 5). To me the logo says “Power” but not sure (at least starting with “Po”). I haven’t found this brand (maybe no-name brand or sponsored?)

Also other shorts with 3 and 2 horizontal stripes on the legs. At least one more post coming soon also showing young girls (Basketball) and a man in purple shorts. Unfortunately, the second half of the series is only available in a very bad image quality. Main entry, rating 10 at

Mini Stars

ministars2ministars

Kids music show. Host Matthias Krings
Year: 1990-1992
Year in film: 1990s
Country: Germany
Who in shorts: Dominik, Matthias ~11
Who in shorts 2:
Available on DVD: no
I own: no, partly TV recording
Clothing occurence: low
Rating:  6/10 (9)?
Rating: ******
Comment: Dominik and Matthias of band Ketch-up in German Adidas soccer shirts and black shorts. Probably here the song “Eins Zu Null (Hangin’ Tough)”. Also in blue shiny shorts either in this and/or in RTL Kinderhitparade (rating 9). I don’t like the modern black shorts. Maybe more shorts/others?

I found this very brief clip by coincidence on one of my VHS tapes as it was not labeled with this. Around 1 minute only, which is at the end of the show. Not sure if I have more clips on other tapes. Blue shorts probably from a different episode. I only have this 2 scenes. One from a distance showing both boys on the far left, at least showing a bit from the shorts (length of shorts, height of boys). Pic 2 showing a close-up of one of them (maybe Matthias ?) Sorry, no better pics of both (in this show).

Aka “MiniStars” and “Li-La-Launebär präsentiert Die MiniStars”. There’s also a Dutch show/band called De MiniStars and in other countries (with other kids). But I don’t know of shorts in there.

No DVD nor clips known. At least there are CDs. For more infos see RTL Kinderhitparade. Does anybody has better pics or clips especially of the blue shorts?

Update: Achterbahn (1992)

achterbahn-ep44achterbahn-ep28

Some more episodes. Pic 1 showing 2 boys in ep 44. One in medium blue shiny shorts with sweatpants underneath (what is very rare in Germany), the other one in dark blue (or black) shiny shorts.

Pic 2 showing a boy boxing in light blue shiny shorts in ep 28.

At least one update coming soon (white Soccer).

I also have checked some more of It (2017). The yellow shorts aren’t shiny. Damn. I have uploaded a better pic of the red ones.

Achterbahn (1992)

achterbahnachterbahn2b

Kids TV series, 69 ep + 2 movies
Year: 1992-2002
Year in film: 1990s, 2000s
Country: Germany
Who in shorts: boys ~9-15 ?
Who in shorts 2:
Available on DVD: no
I own: no, party VHS recording
Clothing occurence: medium- ?
Rating:  7/10 ?
Rating: *******
Comment: Some boys in swim shorts in different episodes. Mainly most wore speedos when swimming. Pic 1, one boy in larger, medium blue shiny swim shorts also sitting (also another one in nice yellow speedos), pic 2 one in wet yellow, green, red ones. I think also episodes about Soccer at least one in white shorts. One boy boxing in light blue shiny shorts in ep 28 and boys in light and medium blue shorts (one in sweatpants underneath), both pics coming soon.

Another swimming scene in ep 68 “Flachschwimmer” unlike almost all other episodes available on DVD. At least one teen boy in dark swim shorts. PE, Basketball and locker room scenes in ep 33 “Der Andere” at least one shirtless in medium blue shiny shorts.

Good shirtless swimming scenes and handsome boys in “Der Fünfzigmarkschein” and “Nie wider Ibiza” but I think either speedos or board shorts.

Great family series about friendships. I don’t know all episodes and have some partially on VHS. I have to check for the episode names of the ones pictured and also other episodes. But I remember rather few good shiny shorts scenes.

Rating 7-8 for now. Also on my sailor suit blog, rating 4.

Subtitle: “Filme über Freunde heute”. Although always used, the word “heute” doesn’t belong to the subtitle to me, but it’s obviusly the announcement (“today” showing) of the actual episode as separately shown at the intro at a different frame.

Comment: Some boys in longer, modern shorts including medium and dark blue, orange and black and also at least 2 boys shirtless in swim shorts (medium blue and black). Scenes at 15 and 17 minutes.

Rating 4-5 only.

Few and brief scenes and I prefer shorter shorts. Swim shorts are even worse. So rating 4 instead of 5. There are better movies.

Also on my bib overalls blog (girl, rating 6) and my bedroom blog, rating 6 as well.

The Santa Clause

Comedy film. Tim Allen

Comment: Some young Soccer boys and girls (1st graders?) in yellow and white shorts. At least one with the drawstring outside. I think few and rather brief scenes at 1h10.

Also soon on my bib overalls blog (girls rating 4).

I like Tim Allen and Home Improvement (rating 7), but I don’t like this movie.

Very young kids and few scenes, but better than none as this is a Christmas movie.

So rating 4-5 only. I don’t assume shorts scenes in the sequels.

Comment: There are obviously Soccer scenes of probably older teen boys or men in shiny blue and red shorts. And also swimming scenes (not sure if just speedos or swim shorts as well).

I have or had a TV recording, but currently only found short clips and trailers.

So needs to be rechecked later.

Rating 3-4 for now only.

Also on my bib overalls blog, rating 5.

There’s also a 2008 TV series, but I don’t remember shiny shorts in that.
